Oh, No He Di'int!!!

This morning, I decided that I would take a shower alone.

As in, I wouldn't let the dogs be in the bathroom with me.

So, I shut the door on them.

When I came out, Baci was laying on my bed, waiting for me. Delilah was nowhere to be seen, but I could hear banging downstairs. I thought she had a boot again (Josie's pink furry boots are her fav-o-rite thing in the universe). Baci and I came down to investigate. Delilah met us at the bottom of the stairs.

This is what I saw:

See that chair under the window? This is/was the filling for the huge pillow that makes the back of it. It looks like a Santa beard factory exploded in here!!!

The thing is, Delilah can't jump up on the furniture. She tries, and bounces back and falls down. BACI loves this pillow, and I have caught him more than once playing with it when I've forgotten to close off the downstairs when I've gone out. So, even though it was Delilah rolling and jumping on the stuffing, it was really Baci who had gotten it down and pulled the zipper open (yes, he can do that, don't ask me how)! He framed her, and ran upstairs to wait for me when he heard me get out of the shower!!!!

Thankfully, since he'd only opened the zipper, I was able to stuff everything back into the pillow and zip it back up. This time.

It's a good thing he's a dog. Otherwise, he'd be a criminal mastermind.

Apparently, being naughty is exhausting work. Good for them they're cute.

Oh. My. Goodness. I might have cried. I'm so glad you were able to put the pillow back together. And LOL on him framing Delilah. Hehe.

Oh my, he is a god genius! that is crazy. Thank goodness he knows how to zip zippers, that little nipper (ha isn't that in a Dr Zeus book, oh yes, 4 Pups and a Worm, haha)

Seriously, it's a good thing they're cute. I am so happy for you that you have such a considerate dog as to merely unzip the cushion. I've never heard of such a thing.

I can only imagine your face when you came downstairs.

And also? Smart dogs are a big problem.

That's hysterical!

We don't let Phoebe on the furniture and inevitably, every time I get out of the shower or come upstairs from the basement, hear the little clink of her collar and the pad of her feet as they land on the floor. By the time I get to her, she is on the floor, pretending she was there the whole time. They're too smart for their own good sometimes!

Them together on that pillow is SO CUTE. Makes me ALMOST want a puppy. ALMOST is key, I just don't have the energy to clean up pillow stuffing lately.

OMG he is SOOOO smart! I'm sure when you got the new puppy he was all, "This is going to be GREAT! I can blame her for EVERYTHING!"

I love this post. It reminded me of our dog when he was a puppy and loved the fluffing inside of everything. He wasn't smart enough to frame anyone, but he loved to bust open cushions for the fluffing. And he never figured out how to use a zipper! That's amazing! He is so old now that all he does is sleep all day.

That is funny! Good thing you didn't cast him out first before investigating. I have trouble with the zippers on my cushions and pillows - I'm really trying to imagine how something with no FINGERS did this!

OMG! I would have just died. Wait, I would have pitched a big ole hissy fit, then I would have died. I never would have guessed about the framing though...duh! I would never make a good detective sigh.

Uh oh! Double trouble! Poor Delilah is too young to understand she's a scapegoat. You're in big trouble now.
